The answer to dealing with plagiarism in the Web 2.0 world is the same as it was in the Web 1.0 world, namely giving authentic problem solving tasks that are based on essential questions and require the synthesis of new knowledge. In the Web 1.0 world that took the form of true WebQuests. Many of those quality products can be updated to incorporate blogs and wikis. Check Tom March's Revisiting WebQuests in the Web 2.0 world.

I did a double-take when I saw the name of your new blog! I've been running a blog "Information Literacy meets Web 2.0" for quite a while now and have just edited a book "Information Literacy meets Library 2.0", for Facet publications.
I have therefore transferred to this new blog (Information Literacy meets Library 2.0) which will be a continuation and update of the book. Plagiarism is not something which we dealt with particularly in the book, but there will be material which will be of interest I am sure. Would be glad to correspond further by e-mail, Facebook or whatever!!We obviously have quite a lot to talk about!
